Description
PCWS’s Neutral Rust Remover is a new type of product designed to provide a safe, effective way of removing rust from ferrous metals.
Traditionally, to de-rust either strong acids or very hot, strong caustic alkalis have had to be used.
For the operatives, these are very unpleasant to use and if the process is neglected, they can also cause serious damage to the item being treated.
Neutral Rust Remover overcomes these problems; it has a neutral pH and does not require heating to be effective.

Directions for use
Concentrations of 25-50% are used and slight heating of up to 40°C can accelerate the de-rusting process.
The immersion time depends entirely on the severity and age of the rust and must therefore be determined by experiment, it can vary from a few minutes to overnight.
The cleaning stage should always be followed immediately by a fresh water rinse. To prevent flash re-rusting it might be necessary to treat the workpiece with a corrosion inhibitor.
